| Frisbee golf! The Marion swimming pool has recently been updated with new splashpads and is a popular center for summertime fun. Lowe Park, located on North 10th Street, is the latest addition to Marion´s park system and is being developed as the city´s premier recreational facility. Indian Creek Country Club and Hunter´s Ridge golf courses provide high quality, park-like settings for golfers. When you add the availability of all that Cedar Rapids and Iowa City have to offer, you can enjoy an endless variety of activities. Cedar Rapids features many wonderful parks and trails throughout the city, providing nearly every type of recreational activity. Cedar Rapids is also the home of the Kernals baseball team, a minor league affiliate of the Anaheim Angels, and the RoughRiders hockey team. Both the Kernals and RoughRiders have beautiful, new stadiums to call home. In addition, Cedar Rapids recently completed extensive renovation of several golf courses and renovated or completely replaced several neighborhood swimming pool & waterpark facilities. Iowa City is located only twenty minutes away and is home to the University of Iowa.
